Substitute Teacher

Responsible for providing instruction and managing the classroom for teachers who are absent for a day or longer periods of time. Duties include explaining homework, maintaining classroom cleanliness and other duties of the teacher they are subbing for. Candidates need to be flexible in their availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Follow and teach lesson plans as directed by the absent teacher.
• Follow classroom and school procedures as directed by the school.
• Leaves notes or completes a Substitute Teacher Report Form for the regular teacher at the end of the teaching day
• Communicate in a friendly and positive manner towards parents, students, and staff
